Finally, I broke down and got what was probably the hardest part of my recent mods out of the way! Here are a few pics of the work.
<img src="http://www.alltel.net/~jfarrell/ntjmbwi.jpg" alt=" - " /> <img src="http://www.alltel.net/~jfarrell/dsv.jpg" alt=" - " /> <img src="http://www.alltel.net/~jfarrell/aasfv.jpg" alt=" - " />
I took a good bit more pics and am finishing the write-up on the install. Definitely a two-man job, but I only had one set of hands that day ... Mine! <img border="0" alt="[Satan]" title="" src="graemlins/satan.gif" />
But the install turned out just fine and it looks great! The CB antenna was installed in the front passenger-side of bumper after the pics were taken but more pics are coming. If I can ever get time to finish my website I will post all the pics. Maybe soon.
Well, let me know what you think. I believe the TJM quality is great and I am happy with the way it all went together. Very solid unit. The winch will be tested this weekend as I have not un-spooled it yet since I finished the install and I need to do that before it's first REAL use it so I don't bind the new cable.

Looks good, I like the beefy bumper without the bars on it.

Thanks for the comments guys! It was a lot of work but it was well worth it!
Andreas, my next mod was light installation. TJM actually makes an insert that takes the place of the amber turns in the bumper and lets you install the Hella's ( model # ??, I forget) in that location. Only problem is I have to figure out re-working my corners to accomodate the turn signal bulb assembly. If I can get that worked out I can install the lights in the bumper. I already have the inserts from TJM (a little future planning) ... Also my new Yak-Rack has the light brackets installed but I haven't decided on what to put up there yet or how I want to run the wiring.
I was also going for a cleaner look without the bumper top bars which is why I got the T17. Both look nice but I favor the T17 at this point and am happy with it. I only have two more things to finish installing before EC4RJ and those are the PP springs and the relay box for the winch. I was not sure what would look the best in mounting the relay box. I am still working on that one and I hope to have it figured out this weekend.

It looks awesome! I'm glad to see another member w/ the T17. I like the clean look of the 17, and it still remains rugged. Do you have a picture of those inserts?

You do have to make a slight widening on the opening but according to the guy I spoke with at TJM it is a snap. Only about an inch wider to pop the Hella's in there. TJM provides the template for it in the package as well. I have to admit the TJM is a nice setup!
And I would also like to mention that I picked up the TJM stuff from Mike at Xtreme Offroad. Mike was not only great to work with but very professional in doing business! I will defintely be doing business with Mike agian when I need parts for my future mods. Great Job Mike! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Sorry for the delay with the insert pics. Here they are.

I will probably go over my lighting choices again before installing them, and I may put the Hella's in as well as some additional lighting on top my Yak-rack using the mount kit that I installed with it. Maybe after EC4RJ I will have a better idea of light output from some of the other rigs I see that might help in my decision.

Kunal, The brackets actually take the place of the amber turn signal units in the T17 bumper. The height of the opening is correct, you only have to widen the opening approx. 1 inch to get the insert to go in the opening. This was accroding to the rep I spoke with directly at TJM. That is why I am trying to find a setup to put the turn signal bulbs into the upper corner marker assemblies. Then I can use the turn signal bumber openings for the Hella's. But I figured it was worth getting the brackets with the bumper so if and when I do get to install the Hella's I will not have to wait to order the inserts.
