I need a new(or gently used) longblock for my 1996 rodeo, 3.2 v6 as it threw a rod last week. has anyone else swapped one out recently, and if so where'd you get the motor?
My friends shop quoted me $7k new or $3500 for a used engine w/ 88k miles on it. (installed) this seems really steep to me, and my brother offered to do the swap for me, but we need an engine - by the way, the rodeo is currently in California where my brother lives, so a SoCal engine contact would be best...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

'96 rodeo, 3" lift with both calmini and DOR parts, 265/75/r16's on Eagle alloys, K&N drop-in filter and flowmaster exhaust, superwinch hubs, TJM Bullbar, and a custom (home-made) rear bumper, and still working on it...
