Getting the Wheeling Fever
I just recently acquired an air compressor and some various air tools and need to do some work on my '93 pickup soon. I want to replace that stupid plastic coil hose that came with the compressor. Question is...what diameter air hose should I get 3/8" or 1/2"? I am not planning on using anything stronger than a 1/2" impact wrench. Thanks.

I use 1/4" for all my on-board air stuff as well as in my garage, 1/4" ID, 1/2" OD. That size hose is plenty big, flows about 35 CFM, and is small enough to route easily.

Roll Me Over
3/8" is what we use in the shop, roofers like to use 1/4" cause it's lighter.
1/4 or 3/8 will work for you, 1/2" is good for a supply line!
Get a retractable hose reel, i love that thing.
