Depends on use really and how much $$$ you have. I personally run the $185 lock rights front and rear they are cheap and very dependable. Detroit quick lock for around 200 then the selectable lockers up over 600 a piece. You can also get a spool for a little over a hundred or lincoln lock. I drive mine on the street daily with the lock rights and have never had a problem. Off road they are there when you need them.
In midst of building.

What do you want to do with it? Is it just for the trail? A daily driver? A combination of both?
A spool works great in the rear for a trail rig. I would never suggest a spool in the front.
LockRights and EZ Lockers are very similar and work both on the street and on the trail quite well with limited side effects (pops and bangs every once in awhile).
Selectable lockers like the ARB Air Lockers are the best of both worlds. When they are off, the vehicle performs as stock. No pops, bangs of tire chirps in the corners. When turned on, they perform like a spool. Solid, positive locking differentials. But they are pricey.
Depending on your purpose and your bank account, the choice is up to you. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Started with a single LockRight in the front axle. For the first 9 years I had the zook it was a daily driver, so I could turn off the pops and bangs by unlocking the front hubs. Then a few years later I added an ARB out back. Then a few years later I put an ARB up front. Slow process, but I am patient.
