Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
I just got the CJ running again after doing the 4.0 swap. I have 33" tires and need to know what I need to do to get the speedometer to read correctly. There's supposed to be a gear somehwere (in the T-case, I suppose) that needs to be replaced. However, I have no idea what to replace it with or anything like that. Anyone have a clue that can help? Thanks!
My JEEP: Something that once looked like a 1985 CJ7.

Somewhere around here is a chart. I would search for it if I needed it I am sure google can find a jeep spedo gear chart. All I have ever purchased came in colors... Purple and green and so on.. You need to know how much in % you need a smaller or larger gear. Then find the chart and see which gear you will need for that % of change.. search search and you will be joyful. Big Jim

I think that chart is for NP 231 t-cases.
doesn't the CJ have a Dana 300? I'm not sure that chart applies...
