I was parked at the home center and when I got back to my car there was a lifted crew cab chevy on one side and a lifted dodge on the other. Made my 4Runner look very small. I just thought of all the narrow trails they couldn't make it on.

Sounds like a personal issue Ya you eventually get truck envy after a while... J/K
But in all seriousness trucks suspensions do sag over time. My truck is ready for new springs in the front the 4" suspension lift is more like a 2.5" lift now.

When I first got my truck lifted i felt like i was driving a monster truck. Now I cant help but notice that stock dodge rams and fords sit quite a bit higher than i do even with my 4 inch lift, although their clearence is a joke.

Its not like Ive got big chevys and what not around here to make me look small. Matter of fact theres only 2 trucks on base bigger then mine and theyre both solid axle toyotas.

its in you head man. same happen to me im about the same level as a full size truck but ther panels are much taller than a toyota its the ground clearance that matters. they always rev there motors next to me and a light and rev mine to 5000 rpms when they laugh at you ask them if they got a locker and just laugh in there face

We went out one time and an H1 went with us.He got to go on one trail and ride the next with the H1 parked at the head of the trail cause he was too wide. Two guys at my work were arguing over the trailworthiness of their trucks. One had a stock Dodge full-size 4x4 and the other had a Tacoma 4x4 TRD with the e-locker.They asked me and I said I'd go with the Tacoma cause of the locker, the Dodge guy said that made no difference cause they were both 4wd.I just laughed and walked away.

I don't know about smaller, but when I first did the SAS and the rig went up the air about 3 inches higher than it was before (had about 3" of lift before) was felt like I was driving a skyscraper. I was scared to death I'd tip it over the second I made too hard of a turn or hit a 10 degree slope on the trail. But eventually I got used to it. And lowered the lift about an inch or so. It's still kind of high. I'd rather be no more than about 3" of lift total right now.
I could care less about over all size and I just laugh anytime I see anyone running much more than 4" of lift. Ground clearance matters a great deal, but stability is far more important. So is the proper off road tires, lockers and finally some underbody protection.
33" tires, twin lockers, minimal lift, even with IFS, is going to get a lot further than anything with 7-10" of lift 38s or taller and open diffs.
