On the way home today I notice white smoke coming out of my exhaust: for only brief moments at a time. Then after a few minutes the white smoke disappeared completelly. The truck did not overheat at any point nor did the temperature fluctuate. I believe that the culpret is my head gasket. A few weeks ago I swiched over to synthetic motor oil, And ever since then I have had some oil leak out around the head. Is it save to rule this out as a worn or faulty head gasket. What else should I consider. Thank you for your help. I want to buy new ARP head studs/bolts and a FEL-PRO head gasket kit. Are they worth it.

Get rid of the synthetic motor oil ASAP and back to old dino oil that your truck likes. Try that and see what happens.
