3.0 inline 6 from a Supra... #665204 11/11/05 03:38 AM

I heard somewhere that you can swap out the 22r in engine and replace it with a 3.0Litre I-6 from a Supra and it should mount up. Is this true? and if it is, is it worth doing?

It looks like it might be worth it if it's a bolt in...

since you are doing one, how much modification do you have to do? does the bell housing mount directly up? does the starter work? radiator? exhaust, all that stuff?? If it does with little mods I am definately gonna do one!

Definetly not a drop in. You'll need a new exhaust, drive shafts, wire up a new ECU, just to name a few.

The 5MGE which is from the earlier Supra is a easier swap and I did not have to do any drive shaft mods. I also think it is more reliable than the 7M series.
