Didn't really notice any gains with the chip. The flipped lid is just flipping my air filter lid to increase air flow

FWIW, I have a '98 Rodeo S that I picked up in July with 48,000 miles on it. I love the truck, espcially now that I have a lift, new tires, and a better stereo. My kids love it, too. They always holler to take my truck instead of mommy's "truck", a '99 Honda CR-V.

Remember, though, that with the 3.2 (and 3.5 motors, too, I think) oil consumption is an issue. It'll need to be checked every thousand miles or so, if not more frequently. I've heard that regular use of Seafoam may be a boon to lae-model Isuzu V6 drivers; it can help remove/ease lifter noise and in one case, I even heard that it can end oil consumption.

Anyway, of course we here are going to recommend that you buy another Isuzu. Why not get a 1st.-gen Trooper, some portal axles, a TD motor, etc. and just go wild?

'98 Rodeo, Ranchos, OME 912s, General Grabber AT2 265/70/16s on steelies, Superwinch hubs, G80 code, Pioneer HU... two car seats and cracker crumbs.

yeah i have lookin at 99 rodeo and they seem to be good vehicles. Get a first gen trooper? thats what i tore apart today, i think i want something newer to get me around. If i had the money i would buy a rodeo and keep the trooper and drop bigger engine and go SAS

That's too bad about the Troop - curious as to what oil and oil weight you were running?

Love the Rodeo's - I've had 2, VERY good trucks. Don't know anything about reliability of the newer 98+ yrs though.

I had a '91 for 11yrs, and this '97 for 8yrs now. You couldn't GIVE me anything else....Well, maybe, a V8 Toyota Tundra
