Getting the Wheeling Fever
Just got a 87 Pajero 2.5l Diesel.

Oil warning light doesn't light up when ignightion is on, idles fine - rev it and it lights up....

Strangely - rev it, lights up - hold the revs at any speed and it goes out again!
(Only comes on when revs are going up! - if it was the pump or lack of presure (Big ends or something) I'd expect low presure until reving!)

Oil presure sender? - votes please....

I could just unplug the oil presure sender - that would stop the annoying light! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Show me the muddy. . . .

I'd take a look at the sender.

I'd bet it's oil saturated. That could cause the erratic function.
