I hope you all can help with this, I have been having a problem with my transmission when ever I down shift it will not go into gear and grinds like crazy it started to do this only when I downshifted into second but now it is doing it on the up shift and as well as third gear so it is getting worse.

I have a 03 Rubicon 5 speed with to many miles on it. No lift  only modds so far have been rock sliders and skid plates.

WOW Fidgit, your asking for it, I hope you sealed up everything i.e. axles, elec, Trans and T case vents extened,, if not I wouldn't expect that 03 rubi to last too much longer taking dep water like that!!!
But it is fun going trough it !!!!!!

Oh yeah it was fun. Most everything is sealed I moved all the axle vents up onto the roll bars over my head not that they should ever need to be that high up

Ok well I will flush her out again.

Also what you can't see in that pic was that I made a bad turn in the river and had to go around and big rock. The only thing I could do at the time was hit the gas and try to get over to the right as fast as I could. I had planned to go into the river just not that side. Trust me I ripped most of the cloth of my seat doing that. But in the end it was allot of fun you just can't see the hart attack I am having.

You might want to flush it a couple times with the cheapo kregan stuff that's the right viscosity then put in the expensive stuff. Just put it in, take it easy for 10 miles, then drain it and do it again. The only difference between the cheapo stuff and the good stuff is the additives. So if you have a little bit of the crappy stuff with no water, it is a lot better than the expensive stuff with water.
