Thanks, but yes I know the nature of the Toyota 4 cylinders. Toyota has always stuck by mechanical valve train, rather than hydraulic like honda uses in their motors. Which is why the toyota motors are a little more noisy in general. I havent had time to check my valve clearances yet, but nevertheless I plan on having the valves adjusted and a new timing chain installed. I can easily discern between the injector noise and valve noise. Thanks again though.
