Need a Spot
Hey, i found one at my local yard, this will work for now. I unfortunately am likely going to be selling it soon, unless my wife can find a job. I have a company truck, and my family doesn't fit in the sportage, since 2 of the kids are in car seats, so it will have to be first to go.

i think that's freak, as in a freak incident. i ran the stock coils without spacers, with spacers, with coiul retainers and flexed the crap out of them on a constant basis for years and years and never, ever snapped a coil, ever. i think it's a climate-related issue or a possible lot number-related issue, as in, a bad batch of coils made at some point and used for a few years here and there could have resulted in coil spring breakage over these years, but who knows?

I broke three coil springs on mine. One from the sporty from new then a freebe from steve. Then another replacment from the junk yard. thats when I decided to go for the friggin Eibachs. Been good ever since although, I think they are begining to sag a little bit in the rear.

was it all on the same side?

hmmmm, wonder if it's some sort of design flaw in the cylcing of the suspension that is causing this to happen....

I've broken both sides. Current broken spring is on left (driver's) side.

And I would have thought the stiffer Gabriel shocks would have prevented it. The original springs broke with the factory shocks. This current one with the Gabriel's.
