Ah, yes...

I remember when Uzi had 2 E-brakes for a rear locker. HUmmmmmmm.... That would be something like 6-8 years ago. Those were fun times.

I shouldn't talk too much, though. Stubig has been in a large cacoon for 2 years now. I'm startin' to get that itch pretty bad. I'm gonna have to do something about it pretty soon.

Back on topic, now. Have you taken it to anyone yet? I'm curious how it turned out. I'm also wondering if they had a reason for putting the zipper like that. We may find out why after you've lived with it for a while.

Nope, Fred... haven't had time to dink with it much. Uzi is sitting out front on the street while the garage is in the process of being cleaned -- I added about 600ft^2 since you were here so I have aggregate just under 1000 squares worth of mess.

We gotta get together and do some 'wheeling this summer. Maybe the two Mogs wouldn't mind tooling around with a petrol smaller sib. British Columbia looked damn fine from the cruise ship, and I'd like to see the mountains from the other side.

OH ya, man. We got to get together this spring/summer/fall and do some camping/exploring. We've got a few years to catch-up on, not to mention that I'm quite remiss with regard to writing about tire mounting, wheels, and tubes.

Stubig is on hold, pending the building of my 1480sf shop/garage. He's been on hold for about 1.5 year. Many things are on hold, actually.

On a related note, I'm quite sure Grog (and his driver) would be up for a campout. Though, he's developed quite a fear of the BC area.

Better get back on topic before the mods crack the whip. smile

Wow.. So where is the build thread? I'm a 4x4wire newb, so don't make me search for it.

Sure seems shorter then the last time I saw it. I understand it is still onthe same suspension..? How is the spring wrap with a motor that produces more power then a one winged fly?

I doubt there's a build thread... randii's all top secret about his stuff. It's taken me this long hunting down little tidbits of info here and there to piece together very basic info about his SAS. He just mentions a project, has some minor updates, and then posts up again several years later saying its complete Since you're a newb on here, let me remind you right now that this aint Pirate

Wayne, I avoided a build thread, as the last thing I needed was another excuse not to actually work on the truck. As it was, I too often wind up surfing the net and jabbering about possibilities, instead of actively wrenching on the damn thing!

It is about the same height as it has been for a few years -- but shorter than it was at first. Last time you saw it was in Moab, I think you were driving the Sammy, still? Over the year,s I have been pulling it down, height-wise, sacrificing a little flex for better stability.

Axle-wrap hasn't been bad yet, but I worry about Moab traction, and will have to keep an eye on the springs...

C'mon, Sean -- it is more laziness than secrecy. I'll almost always answer direct questions, I'm just kinda burned out on HTML.

That and I figured everyone had pretty much seen the damn truck... other than under the hood, there's really not much that's new! Image-search "Uzi Isuzu" on Google: http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&q=Isuzu+Uzi
... I guess I *do* kinda need to post some updated stuff.

I poked around on that, and think I *did* find a build-up thread!
