Body Damage is Cool
Finally got it done a couple weeks ago and only now had the chance to show my homies on the 4WiRe.

Before Line-X:

After:

Photoshop mockup of coating:

Turned out darn near exactly how I had it in the PS image. Pretty proud of it. Hated all the dings and dents on the hood, it cheapened the appearance of the entire vehicle.

Opinions?

I personally dig the "hood bra" look to it, i do hope you had them add the UV protectant when they applied it...

Only question/comment is why you didn't go from the two-tone area down to under the rockers. That is the only thing i see lacking, other than that, kewl.

This coming from somebody that just put an exo on a truck though

I would like to do the same thing to my Kia, but I think I'm going to start with the sides starting at the middle of the door on down. It looks really good and it offers great protection.

Didn't have to add the UV protectorant in - it already was. And as long as I wash it regularly (that'll take some getting used to...) it'll look as it does now. You can use that tire shine crap that some people use to make it shine like that later, too.

I DO plan on having the rockers done as well as the roof. All I could afford was the hood - it was nearly $300. I figure I'll wait a few months before doing the rest. Glad you like it.

In about 2-3 weeks my prerunner bumper should be done, too. That ought to really improve the look of the whole vehicle.

Unless you just are going for the look i wouldn't waste the money to do the roof, its just added weight and $$$, spend the money someplace else.

Well, for the look, but also for all the dings on the roof, too. I guess the people who owned this thing before me dragged it behind an RV so it's COVERED in dings. The dings on the roof are begining to rust.

Something like this:

I also plan on doing the fender flares, too.

Maraguez, I meant to mention in a previous post, rockers are fairly expensive to bedline due to the masking process (they have to cover up all the voids so the liner doesn't just glue your door shut and fill the voids will product.). I was quoted at $400-500 PER side.

There is a way around that ;-)

Pre-prep the vehicle before you hand them the keys.

You'll have to be mechanically able though...

Take all 4 doors off... If you have the time it will save you money

Then they can spray the lower portion of the door EASY

PLUS, when they spray the rockers, if you pull your plastic door trim they will also be able to spray your door sill area, and the middle pillar between the two doors.

So then all they would have to do is mask off the door area, which is no big deal at all.
