I need to replace my ignition coil. Which one of these would you recommend. The coils found on www.summitracing.com or http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/...0000219038/Pr-p_CATENTRY_ID:100000219038 or should I go with the OEM coil. I was going to go with OEM, but the first two seem like an upgrade. A second opinion would be highlly appreciated. Acoording to the repair manual, these are the OEM ignition coil specs:
oil filled
primary resistance 1.2 ohms
secondary resistance 17.0 K-ohms
external resistor resistance 1.35 ohms

I used an Accell(sp) from Summit. Be carefull of the more powerfull MSD coils. Too powerfull a coil and it blows holes in your spark plug wires. You could also try their copper electrode dizy cap and roter.
I recommend an upgrade but be carefull not to go too far.

I'm running an Accel Superstock in nifty yellow in the turbo Raider 2.6, and it's plenty. I mistrust jcwhitneyjunk.

I purchased a Superstock and it was crap right out of the box. I chased imaginary grimlins for weeks only to discover later the brand new coil was bad. No refund either which served to further piss me off.

...but I digress. I put on an MSD Blaster II and have been very pleased.
