Getting the Wheeling Fever
The temp gauge will barely rise above the C mark. I've changed the thermostat, but it still has crappy heat. It will heat up if I take it on the highway. The temp gauge will also rise just above the c mark, but as soon as I get off the highway it starts cooling down. Is my heater core clogged? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A plugged heater core wouldn't have that effect on the temp gauge. Sounds like your fan clutch has siezed. See if the fan turns freely when the engine is cold (and not running obviously).

Body Damage is Cool
By your description, I'd still suspect the thermostat. Your engine itself isn't getting fully warmed up, and that's controlled by the thermostat.

To add to ToyStory, get the truck up to what would be the operating temp; shut off the engine. Lightly touch the radiator with your fingers; cold spots are clogs.

When's the last time the coolant system was flush/filled, aside from the t'stat change?
