have you thought about losing the body lift?

With the way the frame extension is mounted, I'm guessing that some body lift will be necessary to keep those forward facing square tubes from hitting anything. That is a lot of lift, however. Looks dangerous without a full width axle. Before you go and remove a bunch more leafs, have you considered trying spring under?

I would get rid of the body lift and cut whatever is in the way. You can fabricate a new front radiator support as your's is probably rusted out anyway.

Today i got rid of the body lift... I had to do some cutting and beating on the radiator support to make room for the new "frame",but everthing turned out well i think.

Took a few leaves out of the spring packs....

and made a really obnoxious differential cover, from a new dana cover, and spent a couple hours beating quarter inch by 1.5 inch strap with a sledge hammer, to help protect the ring gear.

I think it turned out well, and it displays some pride for my team, even though they did really horrible this past year hahaha...

Looks good with the reciever and all the gussets in the front. And 10x better with no body lift. Have you tried flexing it up yet to see where it rubs?

Damn, there's Green Bay fans everywhere -- even under a solid axle Rodeo in Virginia. Just as dedicated as Raider fans, but with midwest innocence. Yes, I grew up in Wisconsin.

Good job on all the progress. Throw some more photos up when you get a chance.

Well here are a few more pics....

Measuring for shock length, and tire clearance..

[Linked Image]

I thought there would be a lot more rubbing on the fender. My only concern, is the tires are rubbing on the springs.. Nothing a longer steering stop can't take care of.

Side shot, stuffed up in there about as much as it will go. There is roughly 5 inches between the frame rail and the top of the spring plate.

[Linked Image]

I will have to cut just a little bit of sheet metal, but not nearly as much as i was suspecting..

TO DO:
bump stops
Brakes lines
Drag Link
Front Diff Install
shock mounts
SPring over rear
making some sort of sway bar out of the old torsion bar
and of course reengineering everything after its done to work properly.

Peace
Joel
