Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hey all, after a year of PO773 I had shift solenoid E replaced. The Toyota tech said everything is functioning correctly, however my ECM is "going" so its having mis-communication with the solenoids, which in time will cause premature failure. The truck still throws PO773 even though that part is replaced.
My question is about the ECM's function. Also, I have the part #(not with me at the moment), and was looking for suggestions for finding a used one. (new $1080.00).
Thanks for any input.

They come up on ebay once in a while for between $75-$150. Keep looking and make sure it is for the A/T.

Car-parts has a bunch listed for around $300 and seems 2/95 mfg date on is different from 1/95 and before:

Just noticed a 95 wiring manual you might be interested in on ebay now:

(thanks gary)

I'm torn between gambling 150 for a used replacement or $300 on mine being refurbished.

Body Damage is Cool
It's not really an item that goes bad very often... Probably fine with a used one. Fwiw, I'm using a used one I got from Surlynkid (after frying mine trying to reprogram it myself... Oops <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />)
