Need a Spot
I have a 1990 Isuzu4x4 spacecab,it needs restoring some,I rebuilt the underside of the cab and the frame is rough. The check engine light goes out but the oxygen sensor light does not.I have changed the sensor, and i have changed the computer with a spare one I have.I have the factory service manuals and have checked for fault codes on the truck, everything seems okay other than this light.I have just purchased an1989 Isuzu the same as mine for parts,Ithink I will try it's computer and see what happens.Other than the light the truck works good

Welcome to the Wire <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

The way to turn off the O2 light is to pull the gauges out and move a screw from one spot to another, effectively cutting the circuit for another # of miles.

Body Damage is Cool
The light comes on every 90,000 miles regardless.

Here's a detailed explanation:

thks guys, i have been looking at this problem for some time now.The factory manuals have not said anything about the reset,at least that I could find.I knew it didn't seem to affect the way the truck worked but I couldn,t get the light out.Thks again and happy holidays.

Keep reading. It is there along with the instructions on how to reset the light. Look in the Emissions section.
