Towards the end of last week my '96 LC80 starting having some electrical issues! For a day or two, the left turn signal lights (interior and exterior) would stay on while I was driving. Not full brightness, because when I turned on the left signal it would still flash. Then things changed again... The left lights would turn on when I stepped on the brake peddle. One would hope that it would end there, not so much! Soon after that I reallized that both my brake lights and turn signal fuses are now blowing. Great, so I have a short somewhere. My Haynes manual has the turn signal wiring diagram in it but no diagram for the brake light system and I am trying to see where they may overlap. Does anyone have this that they could scan and send to me or maybe fax to me.

I did do some trailer wiring this past summer and I am going to check that first to see if there is any corrosion or loose connections happening there, but I would like to prepare for that not being the case. Thank you!

If you added one of those converters that allows a 4 plug connector, it could be bad. I've had two fail with the same symptoms. Just disconnect the trailer wiring to check...

It was the trailer wiring. I disconnected the harness and re-connected the factory wires and all is well. I will dig deeper at a later time. It may just be the ground for the harness... we'll see. Thanks guys! I hope everyone had a safe new year!
