Getting the Wheeling Fever
i have a question i once switched to mobile 1 10w 30 synthetic at 80,000 miles and every time i would take off from stop sign it would blow smoke like i was burning oil. I had it in for 2 days it didnt use any oil though. I switched back to dino with no problems after that. Now i was wondering why it could of been smoking like it was burning oil? Getting rid of deposits in my engine?
Just wondering what u guys think?

i love playing in the mud

Synthetic is more prone to leak then dino. So you may have well worn rings/valve seals that were allowing the synthetic through.

Odd to have happened at only 80K though. I ran M1 in a 140K 4Runner with no issues. You could try the higher mileage version.

Roll Me Over
i switched my 3.0 to mobil 1 10W-30 (green cap) at 114K. i'm at about 140K now... no smoking. just some dripping from the old valve covers gaskets which it was doing with dino oil too.
