I know this isn't 4 x 4 related, but my wipers do not return to their resting position when you turn them off, and the intermittant function also quit working... Would this be the wiper motor/controller, or is there a relay that I need to replace? Anyone had this problem? Thanks....

Yes I'm having the same the problem, they don't come back to rest and they also stop midway when you turn them off. They also stop halfway when using the intermiate switch too. Damn I thought I was the only one with this issue!! When you get an answer, let me know, I just always forget to ask. I am sure someone on here will have an answer to this question. Got alot of smart people on here who deal with isuzu issues all the time.

I'm not sure where the "park" controller is on these, it very well could be in the motor but I'm unsure.
Usually the motor itself is the culprit, when you loose your park.

I am 99% sure it is the relay. I had the same problem a few months ago. Many Rodeo/Amigo owners have this issue. I fixed it myself, not that hard. Here are a couple links to look at to get an idea how to fix it. They may be able to tell you more, but like I said, I am almost positive it's your problem. Link #1 Link #2 Good luck, Marc

Thanks Guys!--After checking the links on Marcres post, I am also having problems with the rear wiper, which is related to the same relay issue. The relays are $5.10 each from Mouser.com-Part #817-FTR-P1CN012N.. They do have to be soldered in place.. I'll let you know if it takes care of my problem...

When I did that write up on the Planet I just replaced all 3 since they were cheap enough and I figured the front had to have more cycles then the rear so was suspect. At least now I know they are all new. Getting the old ones off can be interesting but just take your time so you dont damage anything then its not too hard.

yea, it took me about two hours to remove one relay. I am not good at that (obviously). Worth it though, saved me a few hundred dollars.
When I bought my Rodeo used, I had to put a new motor in it for the rear wiper. It didn't move or anything.
