Howdy all,

Who makes the best twin stick setup for the 4 cyl transfer?

Mostly personal preference. I owned FRORF's first production unit and liked it a lot. Marlin's is nice as well.

You have two basic options, the Front Range and Marlin/AME twin stick. Steve H did a detailed comparison on Pirate4x4.com. I have the FROR twin stick and am happy with it, a good product at a good price. I bought it long before AME came out with their's.

Thanks for the replys. I studied the Shootout on Pirate, very good info there. I thought I would ask if anyone has an opinion that they are aching to share.

I have had one of the very first one that FROR made (bought it from Marlin). I have had no problems with it.

Either will work and be reliable, I like Marlin's seal system. The FRORF unit 'buzzed' and drove me nuts on the highway, but that's just me. It also relies on the boot for a seal.

I have used both, the FROR one would buzz at highway speed and drove my GF crazy. Installed one from Marlin and no more buzzing sounds and a happy GF. Both are good but MarlinÆs does have the cool shifter knobs.

If I may ask, what's the advantage of having twin T-case shifters?

Form what I gather independent shifting of high/low and 2WD/4WD. Low 2WD comes in handy

It does come in handy, particularly if you have an automatic front locker like a Detroit. Turning is WAY easier on high traction surfaces with 2WD.

Plus it is another gadget to have.
