Anybody had any issues with airbag warning light staying on. I started my truck one day, the light lit up like normal (system check), but never went out.

I don't know how far you want to get into it but..The light has 12V to it from the ECU-B 15A fuse so any ground will kick that light on. It goes to a connector then to the airbag sensor assy behind that plastic piece over the center hump on the dash. From there it looks like there is a LH and RH airbag sensor that could go to ground or it could be in that sensor assy. There are 3 other inputs to that sensor. +12V through the 15A cig lighter fuse, +12V from the 7.5A ign fuse, and a wire to the data link connector under the hood. You might check those fuses. Depending on your milage it may be under warranty. If they cover the seatbelts to 100K, they should cover that. If you want me to look further into the drawings, let me know.

the factory service manual lists the proceedure for diagnosting the SRS warning light. on my manual it starts on page rs-34. If I were you, i'd purchase the service manual set from toyota publications and diagnose the system and fix what the manual says is wrong following the diagnostic steps.

You could always wack the front bumper with a large sledge and see if the airbag deploys!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />

Isnt the little black box mounted on the passenger inner fender along side the airfilter box the airbag sensor?

You guys can start by disconnecting your negative battery terminal for 90 seconds; see if the light goes out (yes, recommended procedure); troubleshoot/inspect from there if the light continues to stay on.

i disconnected my negative battery terminal for a couple of minutes and wiggled some wires/connectors around on the sensors and light is still on. It'll be on for awhile i guess.

We have a manual sticky'd over in the Runner section; might see if there's an airbag section over there, or at least in the electrical section for troubleshooting.
