Getting the Wheeling Fever
I found one parked in a neighbor's yard yesterday. Owner hasn't called yet, but I thought I could ask for a review about Toyota diesel engines.

Thanks, Hugh

what model cruiser?
40-55-60-70-80?
40 long or short? 70 long or short?

The 40 and 70 shorties had either a "L"2.4L or "B"3.4L series 4 cyl diesel, the L series were the same engine used in the Hilux utes and Hiace Vans for many years and were a very reliable diesel engine, very slow also

the "B" series engine was used in almost every thing from the Landcruiser to the 3 tonne toyota Dyna light truck, others include the Toyota micro and mini buses and the equivilent Daihatsu range of light commercials

still a slow engine but they have a long history of being bulletproof

The 40 and 70 long wheelbase and 55-60-80 had either the "B" or the "H"(4L & 4.2L 6 cyl)series engines

same applies for the 4 cyl engines slow but long lasting
