whats up man, hate to hear your predicament but i'll throw in my .02

Try to sell the camery for around 4k (estimated kbb value,mb high but try anyway) and try to sell the 88 for anything you can get(400-500mb?). Pay off part or all of the balance on the 3.4 truck and fix everything that is wrong it and dd it until you get back on your feet. fixing the newer truck won't be to bad $$ wise just time and i'll help ya out anyway i can.

Use the left over money from the sale of the camery to help out the nessaties(rent, bill, ect) Once your back on your feet, pick up a little 2wd yota pick up or an old bimmer, something cheap and reliable for a DD, then hack up the trooper. just another idea. I'm out of town this weekend but i'll get up with ya next week.

Yeah, the camry will be easier to move, but working on it wouldn't be too bad--my older brother is a toyota tech, so if I couldn't figure something out, he could school me.

BTW, I'll have some pics tomorrow, gonna be working on it all day.

Eric, I think the max I could get for the cam would be around 2k in it's current condition. but that still puts me ahead of the game. I'm gonna have to sleep on it.

For me it would depend on how far your DD is. And how much your'e willing to pay for your gas budget. I drive 30 miles roundtrip. If it was farther I'd sell the 88 and keep the Camry and 90 Trooper. My 89 Trooper gets 22 mpg as a DD, the 90 3.4V6 does 16 mpg.

My friend worries about gas milage and his DD is 1 mile For some reason he'd trade a 20 mpg vehicle he loves for a 30 mpg he hates. Nothing but Troopers here

well i'm between jobs right now so i dunno what the commute will be lolll I'm used to the gas milage of troopers and 20mpg is if fine for the benefits of the truck (room, visability, versatility). but 32mpg, comfy seats and a good stereo is great too. decisions....

Sell the 88, keep the 90 with the 3.4 already in it.

You can't forsee what kind of commute you will have nor can anyone say if gas is ever going to get cheaper. I can say that I highly doubt that gas will come down any time soon.

Keep the Yota. It will be a great car, they do run forever.

I agree w/ Joe. The camry should run forever, so keep it. Turn thw 90 into your project, but forget the 35s until the '90 is ready. Sell the 88 to pay for the 90.

I hate to say it, but it sounds as though selling the 88 and using the Toyoa as an economical runaround seems to make the most sense. I wish I was closer to you, or vise versa, I'd buy the Troop(88) as is and keep it for you until times are better. Good luck however you go
