sorry about the blur, everytime i get under my truck the temp always drops 10 degrees and the wind picks up..

anyways-yesterday i got a small log caught around the rear axle and it separated my steel flex line from its home in the bracket on the rear cross member.

i am not entirely sure what i have broken, the line is fine, it seems to be broken at the bracket, and i cant tell if a piece of the flex line is still stuck in it or that is part of the bracket. also i looked in the flair and there are a couple beads of silicon in it, making me think that this has happened before and the PO booty rigged it-would that be an effective temporary fix?

sorry for the rambling..summary.

have i broken the brake hose or the piece on the bracket?

thanks

Body Damage is Cool
To me it looks like part of the brake line.
Usually the lines go through the brackets and are just "clamped" to them using nuts.
Hard to tell if it's the hard line or flex line. Probably flex line though.

the thing is, the end of the flex line is pretty clean, the flair looks fine. i need to find out more about the assembly of that bracket, and the joint between flex and hardline. i forsee a trip to toyota in my future..crap.

hey congrats on going 4wd by the way, got pics of your build?
