I was thinking of replacing my stock 31X10.5 R15 BFG A/T's with something a little bigger (perhaps the 32X11.5 if they will fit). My truck is supercharged, and I was wondering if any of you have done this with a supercharger and experienced pinging from the increased tire weight when under load. Also, I know there is a perceived power loss from bigger tires, but will one size up really make any difference? Under any other circumstances, I'd just deal with the power loss, but in this case, I don't want to cause premature tranny failure or cause the engine to detonate just for the sake of "looking cool."
Thanks for any info at all!

Getting the Wheeling Fever
My truck is '02 DC w/SC,TRD Header&Exhaust V6 Auto Trans. and 32" or 265/75R-16 MTR tires. I have experiencing power loss right after switching tires, but then gain some power after I installed SC, however, the gas mileage is terrible with SC and bigger tires, and I don't step on the gas pedal very hard, and that will avoid the tranny problem... hopefully. Also, I have been using Mobil 1 syn. oil and Mobil 1 syn auto trans oil since the truck has only 3k on it.

Wheeler
I have a 99 with 32's on it and I've been running the truck with 32's since 40k miles and it has 85k now and I've never had a problem. There is a little bit of power loss but to be honest it isnt that much and I barely even notice. Gas mileage went down a little bit and now I get anywhere from 16-18 where with 31's I would get 17-19. Hope that helps ya
