Getting the Wheeling Fever
I am thinking about building a tube frame for my truck. I'm wondering what tubing to use. I've got a Blue Bullet hydraulic bender, it will handle up to three inch tubing. So what am I looking for? I'm looking to do a ladder frame, possibly with a coil spring and swingarm type rear suspension. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" /> I would prefer to not section the main rails.

the hydralic bender you've got is a pipe bender, not tube. for anything structural, you really need a *tube* bender (like JD^2 or ProTools) and use quality HREW or DOM tubing. anything less is going to result weaker areas around the bend... ok for bumpers and things like that, not ok for roll cages and suspension.

x2.

I would rather suffer the consequences of a Conservative?s error, than suffer the consequences of a Socialist's intent.
