How to disable day light running light? #63487 05/19/03 02:03 AM

I try to disconnect the wire(white-green) at the running light relay assy(P/N 82810-04011) near the lower steering collum. Hehe, I don't have running light any more. I don't want to waste my gas to power that lights. But if you do that becarefull to disconnect the wire or do it some how so you can reconnect it later. You still have the head lights auto turn off when the key is off position and your head light switch is at head position. You don't need to turn the light off, but you need to turn the light on when needed. Good luck guy. This is for 02runner.

Need a Spot
If this is like my dad's old '01 4runner and his new Sequoia there will be a small box on the inner fender well next to the Battery (driver's side) The box will look about the size of a calculator (smaller) and should have some heat sinks on it.

Once you have located this device there is a plug on it. Just unplug it and the DRL's should go away.

Or you could rig up a rocker switch into the dash and enable the DRL manually!
