I am rebuilding my 88 trooper II 2.4L (4ZE1), and I have run into a bit of a problem. I have gotten to the point where the front is all done to the point of having the cover on and harmonic balancer and I am now trying to put on the oil filter assembly. My question is, where does the spring and plunger go? I am hoping it doesn't go in with the oild pump, but if anyone knows, I need help. Thanks Andy.

Hello Andy, I don't have the 4cyl so can't help you on the question. However, you may want to read over bob large's excellent thread on his rebuild -> 2.6 rebuild Q's He follows everything up with great photo documentation! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Much to glean. Jim
