I'm just throwing this out as a idea but if the timing belt has already been changed can you WELD the pully to the shaft?

Sorry to hear of your trouble. The same exact thing happened to me. My crank bolt broke off and just as I got to the side of the road my crank pulley hit the pavement too.

I managed to get the broken half out with a right angle drill and bolt extractor, both from sears. I didn't use anything to center it, just eyeball, and in fact I didn't get it centered, but the extractor worked great.

If you can get $3,000 that is awesome, I think. I have been thinking about fixing mine as it sits in the driveway, but now I dislocated my elbow a month ago and am still in recovery.

We have decided to sell ours and actually I just came here and saw your post as I am looking for a place to list ours.

Good luck!

Thanks, your the second person to mention this (welding) but I miss understood the first and thought he was talking about the bolt, but welding the pulley makes sense. I can get that done at the auto-crafts shop pretty cheaply.

Thanks for your input.

Body Damage is Cool
I'm not sure welding would be an option. It is very difficult to weld high carbon steel(crank) to mild steel(pulley). I would consult a certified welder first before trying to get the shop guy to just mig weld it.

Plus the heat would damage the crank seal.
