Feel like I got a blog going.

Gonna reseat valve cover with another new gasket tonight.
Still dont know why she is stalling out at 65 with electric pump.

What do I do with other fuel line from tank?

Does it need to be mounted in rear?

Do I need a regulator? Pump is supposed to do 4-7 psi.

Redline sight says 4 is plenty for all Weber's. They also suggest Carter rotary pump but I dont have one of them.

Fueled up since swap, been 53 miles on 7.5 gallons. WTH???

Stock carb had two fuel supply lines from pump. One fed the float bowl and the other fed the accel pump well, then went to fuel return to the tank. Pump had a pressure regulator inside to regulate pressure on the float bowl line to limit pressure on the needle valve in the bowl.

I'd plumb in a regulator (3 hose type) after the pump, sending regulated pressure to the weber, and the bypass to the tank return line.

I suspect you are overpowering the float's pressure on the float valve and flooding the carb, leading to real bad mpg. Another possibility is a leaking float valve or misadjusted float (carb got dropped sometime??).

If the truck sat with stale fuel, I suspect clogged tank suction screen and fuel filter. Test fuel quantity flow over 10 seconds. I think you ought to see more than 8 ounces.

The choke is opening, right??

Now that you are mentioning hat regulator, Eddy do you think it is necesary to use a regulator with an electric fuel pump? I got the one good for 4 to 7 pounds.

The choke is opening.

The only regulator the parts store had was an inline (one in /one out) that you turned the dial to pressure that you wanted.

Do I need the return line? Right now I have return line hooke to old pump and the other two outlets hosed together.

The carb was used off of another Raider. Seems ok. idles no problem and can rev fine. With the stock pump it would cut out around 40mph.

Gas is new and so is fuel filter. I can see plenty of gas in it. I even drained the tank before I realize things were broken and it was clear.

Will try the 10 second test now.

BTW, Thanks. The input is appreciated more than you know.

I have been without my baby for over a month now.She is my daily driver. I just let shop have it cuz they have more power tools. Now I am trying to finish. I prefer DIY. I think I just changed to many variables at once. So I am trying to conquer one thing at a time. Hopefully I just cured the oil leak. They put old cam bore plug in new head I hate it when the manager lets someone else wrench my stuff.

Got the new seal and stopped the oil leak but after she warmed up developed some valve chatter. great Guess I get to take apart again.

Still no idea on the fuel issue.

Mine is at the frame close to where the shock and the hard lines that run along the frame are.

Cool, I moved it yesterday. It is mounted inside the frame. Sounds like the same spot. I am going to try a fuel regulator under the hood where I had it before. Hopefully, will know tonight if it works better.
