i can't get my brake lights to work changed all the bulbs changed the switch tested all the fuse's in the cad and under the hood took steering apart started testing wires in there blinkers work taillights work when the lights are on but breaklight want function any ideas ?? thanks

It's time to break out the wiring diagram and do some tracing...

1) download the mitsu factory manuals for the 89 montero (pretty much same as your model) from...
http://www.pajero.dn.ru/pdf/pajero-manual-pdf-big/

It will ask you for a login ID and password and if you look closely at the login screen you will see the ID & password.

Next time to break out the multimeter and do some troubleshooting.

check the hazard switch. It seems to be the cause of most light problems. I had turn signal problems. after being totally stumped I just played around with the wires to the hazard, until they worked. I ended up leaving one of the wires disconnected. I think it was green and white but I can't remember exactly.

it was the hazard i figured out as i went out to play with it one last time before it got cold and where am i to post a pic of my rig at the gallery and is that really true seems kind of rude. javascript:void(0)
