Need a Spot
Well I just picked up another Suzuki Samurai 1988 the only disappointment is that it is not any ware near as nice as the last one I had.
Everything shakes rattles and vibrates in this one from the steering to the to the drive train so I'm going to have to do some major repairs on this one.
it feels like there is not much clutch left is it hard to replace one ?
and the transmission ( standard ) seems to jump and move when you give it gas and let off I donÆt remember the old zuki doing that ( It does not come out of gear just maybe a loose trans mount or something ?? )
I would like to lift it but not go to expensive any suggestions there and put some nice tire and wheel combo I am thinking 4 inches of lift and 31 inch tires Is that possible without allot of changes ?
Oh ya the top has a rip in it is there a suggestion as to where to find a good one used or new?
Any help would be appreciated in this matter
Thank you.
P.S.
By the way I am new to the forum but you will see me from time to time thank you for reading my post.

The two most important things would be the steering and the tranny mount. The steering can be fixed up in most cases by getting the tires balanced and an alignment done. If it still shakes, then you may need to rebuild the knuckles. The tranny mount is going to be easy - replace the mount because it sounds like it is torn apart.

as far as replacing the clutch, it's pretty easy, lots of room the work with on the samurai compared to a lot of vehicles, just it's a 4 wheel...so be prepared to take a lot of things off...
