Getting the Wheeling Fever
Anyone know what the offset is on these wheels compared to the stock offset on the Trooper wheels? I found a set and am considering installing w/265/75x16 tires, they're 16x7.5. Will they fit w/o sticking out too much? Any tire rub? All opinions appreciated. Thx.

Tad (Nazrat) has a 1994 Trooper with 15ö Snowflakes on it.

Shoot him a PM û heÆll probably know for sure.

[EDIT]

Oops... I just re-read the title.

As far as I know, most 16" Snowflakes were Zero offset.

The ones on Joe's (BigPoppax2) Passport are - They came off of Rodeo_Chris' 1994 Rodeo.

The difference in the 38mm offset that is stock on second gens and the 16x7.5 snowflakes that are 0 offset is 1-1/2" wider track per wheel So a total of three inches wider track for your truck. But it all depends on what you have on there currently.

I'm sure it will be fine. Tad was running wheel spacers to make his track wider with the snowflakes on his.

Just curious..would these snowflakes work well with 285/75/16's, as I am considering getting some also for my 99 Trooper?

my understanding is that the stock offset is +38mm, not -38mm.

Ok guys, if I processed all this info correctly, then as Joe says, I'll have a 1.5" wider track... and the wheels will stick out 1.75" more than stock. So how will this effect tire clearance? Will I still be ok with 265/75x16 tires w/o a lift? If I need to lift it, then I'll probably put the money toward something that will give me more bang <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> for the money. What about Teralow's or a locker? Whatta y'all think?
