Well, I got a phone call this morning from a woman I used to B.S. w/, and she's selling her 1996 T-100!! She was looking at a price of $6500 for this beast. It's an ex-cab, 4x4, automatic , w/ new shocks, new tires, and some heavy duty engine service (she doesn't have the paperwork on the motor work, but she said it was done in Dockson(?) WA). Oh yeah, it's got about the same miles on it was my rig, which is a little over 170K. I've seen this truck a few times in person, and it seems to be in really good shape and it sounded great! I believe it's got the 3.4 in there, right? Would you guys/gals jump at this deal? I'm seriously considering buying this! Any feed back is greatly appreciated!

I've owned three T100's... loved them all.
Sure wish I hadn't totaled the first... sure wish I hadn't sold the second... sure glad I still have my favorite of the three!

HAHAHA!

Yeah, in rereading my post it makes it sound like I go through T100's like cheap cigarettes. I don't smoke, so that analogy doesn't really apply. Maybe T100's are what I go through instead of ciggies.

Funny thing...
When I totaled the first T100, I came out ahead. That is, the insurance company paid off the T100 and still cut me a check as well. It was worth more than I owed. When I sold the second T100, I came out ahead. I sold it for more than I bought it. Hmmm... maybe I need to sell the current one as well. Not only are T100's a vice, there an investment!

In any case, back to the original thread, this sounds like a good deal and a great chance to move up to a T100. Great trucks.

I would; esp an xcab; should have the 3.4 in there. Double check the recalls for it as a precaution. I looked at one with a topper on it this winter; just a little bit too rich for me right now; got other things I want to do.

I've got a '96 and I keep her up with infusions of new parts each year.

Only problem is that is runs to good to get rid of... You'll like it alot.

My folks are in their 80s. Somehow they got coerced into buying an 01 Camry for an inflated price. Last month their house burnt along with the Camry. They paid 10.8 for it and the insurance co reimbursed them 12.8 so, yeah, Toyotas are a good investment. Keep buying those Ts

WOW!! Sounds like it's a GO w/ all of you!

I'm definitely working on trying to get this truck!! I just gotta get the VIN from the owner (for insurance purposes and CarFax too) and I wanna see this thing one more time before I lay down some ca$h!

IF this deal goes thru, this is gonna be a sweet ride for not only me, but my dirt bike!

I'm gonna keep my other truck as well for an "everything" truck. Y'know, dd, mild off-roader, Chebby extractor ...all that good stuff!

Thanks for all the good feed back! I'll be sure to post some pics IF/WHEN I get this thing!
