Need a Spot
Well not exatcly, no emergency brake at all though.......
95 T100 4x4 ext 190K miles
Recently I set the emegency brake and noticed it did nothing, no matter how hard you pulled it would not hold\slow the truck from moving at all??????? I also noticed that the first stop I make in the morning yeilds some weird violent vibrations almost like badly warped rotors but only once a day????

I plan to dig into it a bit soon but just thought I would see if anyone else has been through this problem. Current thoughts....
1. Bad rear axle seal leaking diff lube in the drums?
2. Just worn out rear shoes (you would think you would at least hear some metal on metal during braking?)

jack up the rear, take off the tires, take off the drums, see if visually anything is wrong, if the adjusters need to be adjusted, etc. also you may need adjust the slack in the e-brake cable. I dunno if you can even adjust it, but on other vehicles i've worked on, there was a nut on a metal bracket thing you could turn to take out slack in the e-brake cable. never looked on my t100 tho since mine works fine

Body Damage is Cool
you can adjust the e-brake at the spring mount under the driver's side in front of the gas tank near the torsion bar mount.

Sounds like something has broken. Do you back out of you driveway, then at the first stop you get those sounds? Do you use your E-brake daily? Those rear pads hardly ever ware out.
I agree, you need to look inside to see whats up. I think you'll find something rolling around loose in there.
Good luck, hope it's an easy fix. Post back when you find it.

My e-brake also does nothing, but it is because the lever which is attached to the cable, that goes through the rear backing plate is seized up. The e-brake lever inside the cab still pulls all the way and releases fine, it just does nothing. The dealer said I need all new brakes but I want to save up for the FROR disc kit, which will eliminate this crappy e-brake altogether!-zach
