alright, so this is my first time lifting a truck and i'm installing a 3 inch lift with 2" over shackles in the front. what all needs to be extended and what can i do without?

a friend of mine way saying i can just forget my sway bar's as they limit articulation which you want when your out wheelin.

also, what am i going to have to do with my front and rear driveline?

any imput or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If the truck you are lifting is the 82 in your signature than you should not have any sway bars anyway. With that size lift the only thing that should need extending is the drag link. You will likely need to purchase an aftermarket dropped drag link if your lift kit did not come with one. Another (better) option is to use an IFS steering box and add crossover steering, but this is a more involved and expensive solution.

In the front, you will want to maintain proper caster, which may require axle shims (I suggest 4Crawler.com products). Axle shims may also be required in the rear to maintain the proper driveline angle, but wait and see if you have any vibrations.

Nope get rid of the sway bar and frame to axle bar. It all depends on whether you are going to wheel an 82 or not. Get the 4 crawler products you need and jack it up.
