When I was taking my knuckle off I knew the bearing was not going to look good when I found this.

I was correct because later I found this.

Then when I was done beating the out of the bearing trace this is what I ended up with.

When I finally get to the other side I will just have a machine shop take them out before pressing in my new bearing. Also notice in the last pic I found a new tanning method.

What's the crack above the needle bearing? Is it just the oil seal flange or is the knuckle cracked? I can't remember exactly what's what in the assembly.

Frank

It just looks like a crack it is just dirt on the seal.

That is not pretty, is there anyway to grease that bearing without taking in apart?

We actually have a worse one at the shop right now.

I mean we still have the pinion. The truck it came out of is long gone.

<------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->

BobShaw used delrin bearings to replace those. Hopefully he'll post up where to get em'. I pm'd him many months ago about them and he never got back to me.
