Body Damage is Cool
I tried to search but did not do it correct.
How many gallons does the gas tank of the 1990 Mk1 Montero hold? How much is left when the "fuel warning light" comes on? Pegasus1964 wants to know.
Thanks.

LWB was 19.8usgal. SWB was 15.9. I think the light comes on at about 1.5gal (I actually didn't know it had a light...)

On my 89 SWB (Raider) the light has never come on (I question whether or not it has one)...

It's got a light!?!

My 1987 certainly does not have a light.. and I almost ran out of gas this morning in my 1989 when I picked it up from work... Do they really have a light?

Brendan.

My Gen 1 Japanese import DOES have a fuel light.
Comes on with about 7lt left (SWB 60lt tank)
I believe that all aussie delivered gen1 also have the light.
Cheers

Sorry for the late reply.
but I had to run the tank down to see (remember) where the light is located

Said light is located in the tacho (under the X in the X1000rpm text)

I have 2 lights located there (don't know what the second one does)

flickers orange when running low and then lights up (stays on) orange with about 5-7lt left.

Cheers

hmmmm... thinking im getting screwed ive (keep in mind this is bone dry and according to the pump) gotten just about 22 gallons into my tank, with the top off. time to bust out the milk jugs and get to the bottom of this mystery. my gen I (that got squished) had a working fuel light... donor doesnt have one, pretty much forgot about it until this thread. great... now i have something else to fix.
