This probably will not apply to your situation but, last week I had the same problem with my wife's Mazda. Turned out to be a valve cover leak. Oil was oozing down to the spark plug, creating the missfire. Once the oil burned off, all was fine, untill it happened again. New gaskets fixed our problem.
Are you just getting the code? Or, are you actually hearing/feeling the missfire? If it's just the code your seeing, I wouldnt worry too much about it. If not, I hope these guys here can help you more than I can.
Good luck, and welcome to the forum. J-Bird

I have only owned this 96 T100 for a little over a month, So I guess I am looking for things to try so I don't have to take it to someone else and pay a bunch of money.
At this point I still have a constant misfire in #1 cylinder while idleing and excelerating even After doing these things
Could it possibly be an Electrical issue besides the coil or wires or plugs and if so what electrical item would cause a P0301 #1 Cylinder Misfire Code
And if it's Fuel How come it's not in all cylinders? unless it's an injector!

The Engine is fairly clean and looks good and I have also checked around for vacuum leaks

Unless the coding is different for the 97 my 97 FSM shows PO301 as a general misfire detected. Code P0302 is for cyl 1 misfire. At any rate the FSM lists: Ign. System, Injector, Fuel line Pressure, Compression problems, valve adjustment, valve timing, MAF, and eng. coolant temp sensor as possible causes. That really narrows it down <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> The FSM has tests for all of the above and I can send you the sheets if you want. PM me if you want them. Again, this is a 97 manual. Mebbe someone with a 96 FSM will have something to add.

My 96 FSM shows P0301 as Cyl#1 misfire. You are correct.

mrelite... pm me an email address and I can send you the relevant troubleshooting sections of a 96 FSM

I picked up a manuel and have been reading it.
I saw a interesting test for the injector's; you take a screwdriver and place it on the injector and listen thru the handle and you should hear a distinct injector tick and it turns out that the cyl #1 injector isn't working! that was cool it was just like a stethoscope.
So I guess I will get a noid light and check for electrical power and I will also try a jug of fuel injector cleaner but I am not sure if it will even get thru the injector.
If it's the injector and not electrical I think I will probably do it myself, has anyone done injectors?

Try a search using fuel injectors and you'll find several threads.
I posted a while back after I removed my injectors for cleaning. There are some pics you can view in this post:
fuel injectors 4/24/05

After you get the intakes off it is easy to see the fuel rail and injectors.

you need to check your compression in the #1 cylinder. If it's good then its probably the injector.
