Many years in the FL sun left my top looking like this. The top was in such poor shape that fibers were coming out. You'd have to wear long sleeves when tying anything to the roof.



We did this in OK but the keys to remove the rack were in NC - guess It'll look funny if I take the rack off.

Now it looks like this. (don't have a good pic of the top off the truck). ~$15 in spray paint and a warm, dry day.



This is really just temporary. The top of the top soaked up about 3 cans of paint. But it shouldn't get any worse for the time being.

When we go back and do this right, we'll resin over the top of the top and sand it down nice. Ran out of time (and paint), or we probably would have painted those nasty wheels too.

Looks good! Maybe try some of that Herculiner.

now let it dry for a week or so then go to walmart and get some of thier spray on bed liner and put on a coat. worked well for my top.

After posting the pics of the top, I got to wondering why I've been driving around for all this time with those nasty wheels. Next time, when I do the top properly with some resin, then I'll add the bedliner spray. Cheers!
