hey guys, looking for a cheap way to mount my 9k winch to my 89 toyota pickup. would like to mount it up front and obvoiusly make it real stout... any ideas? cheap is key! can do some welding if i have to...

Weld up a framice(frame like device) that holds it where you want it, should be easy and if you use 3/8 inch think steel with gussets, it wont break.

look at the front of the frame, there are some stock bolt holes on the bottom. I ran two heavy pieces of angle iron from those and but a plate on the top.. it sticks out kinda far.

did you oversize the holes and use thicker bolts? how big is your winch?

Here's some ideas: In my first try I built this bumper for about $160 or so. first versionI later reworked the mounting to raise it up at an additional cost of $80. final versionThere are a few more pics of each if you follow the links to my photobucket pics.
