I know delta's cam improves the low end and calmini's cam improves the high end. I was wondering if anyone knows the rpm range that is improved and the rpm range that suffers with both of these cams.

You are kinda answering yor own question but I don't know that you would notice any "suffering" from either in comparison to stock. You might notice improvment (more power) in the ranges that you specified. In either case, the improvments will be minimal but noticable, although it may be psychological.

I guess I asked the question poorly. I was trying to find out what numbers qualify for the low end. i.e. below ___rpm? and what qualifies as the top end? above ___ rpm.

thanks!

I don't think there are hard and fast number for that. Personally, I would consider idle-1800 low rpm, 1800-3800 mid range, 3800 - red line as high rpm.

Other may adjust those values a few hundred rpm either way.

Ask me again next week and I may adjust those number too!!

FYI - I run the CALMINI cam and I would say usable RPMs are between idle-5000, the power really flattens out after 5000. It idles pretty strong down to around 550-600.

I think the other dilemna is that those that have one cam wouldn't neccesarily be experienced with the other. There may be a few exceptions to that rule, but probably not many. My experience is with the Delta and it definitely made a difference seat of the pants wise especially when combines with opening up the exhaust which in turn opened up the upper range of the rpm's.

Good luck,

John
