Getting the Wheeling Fever
I did a search for "Ranger" in the Toyota forum and every thread came back as a result.
Has anyone had any luck using the Ranger box as a replacement? I see the fuel filler is on the other side but I found a decent one for $200. Any ideas?

Funny you should bring this up; I saw what looked like about an '89 xcab with what looked like a Ranger bed. Kind of funky looking, but it looks like the guy made it work.

If you really wanted to keep the gas filler door on the same side as the truck, go to www.toyotafiberglass.com. Our reader CGM makes the gas door insert seperately. $25, IIRC.

Yeah, I hate 'em too; at least the bed isn't at the other end of the truck!! I've seen this guy like 3 times now this week, but we're both always in motion. Sure looks like a Ranger bed on that thing tho'.

Mudrunner
I,ve been wondering the same thing. I saw one with the Splash step side bed on it but didn,t get a good look of how it was done. Looked pretty good though. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
