Even adjusting for time zone differences (and not knowing if the board puts up his post time or mine), it's after midnight when Randii posted.
On the other hand, when has Randii ever been on schedule with anything?
The jury is out.....
On the other hand, after dozens of "It's not practical to convert a 2-WD to 4-WD, just go buy one" posts, now we might finally have a build-up with pictures.

Dunno what to tell you guys, I did have Uzi out for the second fill-up, and a sweet Deuce 5-pane did pull in. We did talk, and his body was all steel, no 'glass... he did let me run my fingers over its curves (so hard to get them perfect to the touch). I did fire mine off with the remote, and we did pull off to the side to do some bench-racing.
We did open 'em up for inspection, and he was impressed. My diamond was just in a little more rough than his. One thing led to another.
I picked the 2WD up yesterday, and it is sitting in front of my house at this moment. You'll just have to wait and see.

Curious about that 5 window. You dont see very many of those, and even without glass, they are still way cool. Did he rat-rod it out, or was he actually restoring it? What size engine? I have a buddy with a 32 5 window with a buick 401 nailhead, 4 speed, and 9 inch in the rear. Chopped 4 inches, shortened 4 and Running fenderless, hoodless, and windowless....but needless to say, that thing will scoot.
Well, congrats Randy, i guess... cant wait for the buildup... -J oh, those are some cute sideskirts on that 2wd.

According to this page, the 5-windows were the most common version. However, it was not the "coolest" looking, so it was most likely it was the least preserved (and as said below, the least-reproduced). This is pure Wayne speculation. I don't know all the models below to know which as 3 or 5 window, and I didn't look them all up, but you can quickly see 5 window was the most common manufactured. Number manufactured data from: http://www.roadsters.com/deuce/Cabriolet____________________6,091 Convertible sedan______________926 Five-window Standard coupe__51,794 (5-window) Fordor sedan_______________37,363 Panel delivery________________6,122 Phaeton_____________________2,490 Roadster____________________12,597 Sedan delivery_________________400 Station wagon________________1,383 Sport coupe_________________2,911 Three-window Deluxe coupe___22,148 Tudor sedan________________124,101 (5-window) Victoria______________________8,580 Edit: Man, my spelling stinks + good thought from below.

Maybe i should have specified...you dont see many AROUND HERE, for whatever reason. :shrugs: I go to, and work at many of the local hot rod shows/swap meets, and i have only ever seen 2 or 3 out of hundreds of cars. They are most always rusted through, and are sporting a fresh coat of rustoleum flat black, with mexican blankets on the seats, and a Rat Fink stuck to the window in true rat-rod fasion. All function, little form.
So anyway, to keep this from straying too off topic...now back to your regularly scheduled ISUZU CONTENT. -J

after dozens of "It's not practical to convert a 2-WD to 4-WD, just go buy one" posts, now we might finally have a build-up with pictures. Those post are generally "its not worth the effort to swap in a stock drivetrain; but, if building an all-out off-roader where everything is getting replaced anyway, a 2WD isn't a bad start"... so I'd say this is still well within the boundaries of what is suggested Well randii, you already have a trail rig and the truck to haul it. Are we seeing the beginnings of a V8 street sleeper? One thing's for sure... whenever I find "the right one", I'm having her talk to your wife about these kinds of projects. She obviously has an outlook that needs to be shared by everyone's significant other

...and hello to the future. I pulled my little 2WD Amigo out of storage this afternoon, and will put it in the shop tomorrow. ![[Linked Image]](http://staff.4x4wire.com/randii/nextUZI/P4010098.JPG) How many days until Moab? Should be pretty close if I stick with the 4ZE1. Randii So it will be another 3+ years before we see you in an operational Amigo???

One thing led to another. By "One thing led to another," I mean that it started me thinking about some wool-pulling. I had to move my old 2WD out of storage because of a rule change anyway, and it added nicely to the fiction to have supporting pictures. Happy Fool's Day! I'm not sure which is less likely -- me being willing to sell or anyone being crazy enough to buy. Incidentally, it was 11:59 on Saturday when I posted, even before the time change. Don't blame me if you guys were in the wrong time zone. I have put in a ticket to have the server clock corrected. Randii (counting down to Moab!)
