do the PTO winchs on the Pajeros use oil?
Bought a second hand one recently, looks like it has a drain plug but unsure.
Any ideas on the type of oil if it does - is it the same as the diff or gearbox?
Thanks in advance

The pto gears mesh with the transfer case gears, so I guess they share the same lube.

If your'e meaning the winch itself it probably just uses gear oil.
[hijack] Has anyone here any info on the PTO's if they fit between Gen's. Can I take a PTO from a Gen 1 and fit it on my Gen 2 ? [/hijack]

We use gear oil mix with general grease. (1:1 ratio)
