Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
My temp guage is maxed out on the hot side, yet the thing isn't even running. Can you guys point me in the right direction?
1988 Raider, 2.6L (Weber carb, PaceSetter header, Centerforce D/F clutch, 5-Speed M/T, 33X12.50 Pro Comp M/T, 15X8 US Wheel 97 Series)

I would think your sending unit is bad or unplugged. It's next to the oil filter. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

That's a scary sight on a 2.6, even if the vehicle isn't running. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" /> Tell me about it.. when I got my turbo engine running last year, I had the wire hooked up wrong, and the guage went to the red after it started. Boy did that freak me out.

Over the hill but still climbing.

What was I thinking <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" /> I have even replaced it, Its on the drivers side where the T-stat is. There are two one is the sending unit for the guage the other for the AC. I will have to look at the manual to see which is which. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />
